Who would not remember the red buffalo or the blue elephant? The inflatable toys by Libuše Niklová are loved by children and have become icons of Czech design. To mark the ‘200 dm3 of Breath’ exhibition, Fatra Napajedla resumed their production in 2010, adhering to traditional manual technology. The plastic the toys are made from has a health safety certificate.
At Prague Designblok 2013, Fatra Napajedla showcased a collection of new inflatable toys crafted by young Czech designers – Jan Čapek, Anna Kozová and Jerry Koza. In addition to The Racing Car, Bulík The Dog and The Goat, inflatable toys designed by Zuzana Lednická were later added to the range. The new toy collection earned Fatra The Czech Grand Design Award in the ‘Manufacturer of the Year 2013’ category from the CzechDesignAcademy.
